Our HIStory
Back in 2015, more than 100,000 patients and 5,000 physicians depended on prior authorization and patient support services from a leading provider of integrated and implant benefit management services, until suddenly, everything changed: the company providing those services shut down, leaving patients, providers, and the manufacturer without a lifeline.
For Jorge Amaro, then COO, this wasn’t just a business problem—it was personal. Patients were waiting. Physicians needed answers. Employees dedicated to supporting them were left without direction. With only a few days to investigate alternatives and an immeasurable desire to make it right, Jorge took action.
Through those long days and sleepless nights of uncertainty, what we now know as A3i Health was born. Holding onto a small but dedicated team, Jorge started his own organization to ensure that patients and providers didn’t lose access to the much-needed service they’d come to depend on.
That moment became the foundation of who we are today: an organization driven by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to patients. At A3i Health, our story started with protecting access when it was most at risk, and that same patient-first mission continues to guide us as we grow and evolve our service offerings today.
